1st Show Latin American Spectacular (K-12)
As the title states, this show is absolutely spectacular! Your students will witness a dazzling production featuring all new choreography, music and costumes from Hispanic nations of the Caribbean, Central and South America.
The show opens with an authentic representation of indigenous dance inspired by South American native tribes, leading into Son de la Negra, a fusion of Spanish colonial and Mexican traditions. Your students will also be treated to the African influence represented in the Colombian Cumbia, exciting Salsa (Cali, Colombia version), the Chancleteo, Mambo and Conga from Cuba. The program will also include the Tango, Malambo, Bombos and the magic of Argentine Boleadores; Merengue from the Dominican Republic, Marinera Nortena from Peru, and who could forget Brasil, represented by the Batucada (drums) and of course the colorful and majestic Samba.
This performance is an authentic, multicultural experience, concluding with an interactive segment for a select number of students invited to dance on stage with our featured international artists.
(The number of students able to participate in the interactive portion of the show may vary, please inquire at check in for more information).
